Iris (1975) teaches our students in the artistic process and the making of art. After graduating form Art school in Utrecht she took off to Barcelona with her sailing-ship. Her nomadic lifestyle has it’s influences on the way she works and connects with other artists: “While travelling contacts can often be volatile. On the other hand as a traveller you are more dependent on these contacts which easily lead to temporary cooperation.” The dynamics between connecting travellers is what Estudio Nómada is based on. “It’s great to be part of a ‘hostel’ where artists gather, shape their images and move on again.”
