For quite a while my work in my studio was about longing and traveling. When I got the chance to go to Estudio Nómada in Barcelona I didn’t hesitate. In 2009 I worked there for a month. I found a nice appartment and settled in one of the beautiful wokshops in Estudio Nómada.The Fact that everything would change for a me was exactly what I needed. A new working place, new artists surrounding me, a new scenery and all this amidst a city extremely diverse, that offers much but most of all gives you an immense boost. Only the walk from my appartment, through the barrio Gotico to Estudio Nómada, was a nice inspiring stroll to kick-off my working day. The new things around me gave me a lot of movement. I experienced Estudio Nómada as a pleasant and welcome place tucked away in the prettiest alley of Barcelona, with owners Iris en Arnout as a dynamic ‘captains-couple’.
