Student, trainee, young artist, adventurer…
At this moment I’m all of this during my study in Estudio Nómada. Less then a year ago I was ‘just’ a pupil in high school and now I’m fully emerged for six months in hyper creative Barcelona, Spain.
I am Vere van Hal (18) and at the moment I’m part of the inspiring and sociable art community Estudio Nómada. Last year I graduated from high school in Holland. Before applying to an art academy I felt like having a taste of the world. Estudio Nómada gives me the opportunity to do so in many ways.
It is a great experience to have all the time and freedom to work with my passion, making art. In the meanwhile the guidance of visual artist Iris Tonies shows me a lot of new stuff. I learn to approach creative assignments in different ways, I’m confronted with the ways of other artists which makes me realize what I want and what is important to me and I’m discovering who I am in my own work.
Furthermore I’m learning to look at art in different ways and to put my thoughts about it into striking words. Because of the guidance of Writer/Journalist Arnout Krediet a new world is opening before my eyes. A new world of thoughts and meanings surrounding art and artists. This way I learn to critically observe my work and myself as an artist too.
Last but not least its’ also just a great adventure being and living here in this bustling Barcelona. The city is so diverse, it is a super city!
