The first edition of ‘Liquid SCREEN’ will feature the video dance movie ‘Continuum’ by Manon Le Roy, produced by associació NU2′s. This new video art event is a co-production by San Miquel Primavera Sound, SCREEN from Barcelona and Estudio Nómada. This floating cinema can be experienced from the 31st of may untill the 2nd of june from dusk till dawn on the festival terrain of Primavera Sound.

I studied at Estudio Nómada for two months, and I achieved more in that short time then I could have ever thought possible. Under the priceless guidance and support of Arnout, Iris and the other inspiring teachers, I managed to put together a successful solo exhibition in the studio’s gallery space and sell one of the main paintings of the show.

Barcelona is the most beautiful city I have ever encountered and I miss it more and more each day. The combination of the city and the school made for the experience of a life time. The family we had in Estudio Nómada was something that I had never before found and I made friends that I will keep for a lifetime. The speed with which I was met, accepted and loved by these people still astonishes me today. What I learnt with Estudio Nómada is that what you put in you get out, and with the right place and people around you, every effort you put in will be rewarded.

I went to Barcelona with the aim of figuring out first, if this art thing is actually possible, and second, if it is, then how does one go about doing it? What attracted me most about the program was that it was advertised as being a place to develop into an independent artist. You are supported and inspired, but in the end, the most beautiful gift Estudio Nómada gave me was the confidence in myself to not just do art, but to live it.

If you go to Barcelona with an open heart, an inspired mind and a love of art, Estudio Nómada will provide for you.
